I quit my $250k job at 40, lost everything, and spent 1.5 years living in motels to build something meaningful. Here's what I created.

I'm Andrew. Solo founder of VeritasLinks.

Three years ago, when I turned 40, I had a brutal realization: I had spent 25 years as a programmer building software for other people — and I had almost nothing meaningful to show for it. Only two projects survived from my entire career: the Ukrainian national credit scoring system and an AI antifraud system for one of Europe's largest payment providers.

I was creating "garbage" that nobody would remember. I wanted to build something that actually matters. Something that leaves a trace.

So I quit my $250k job and went all in.

I poured every dollar I had into this. When the money ran out, I lived in motels. Then in rooms with strangers — sometimes with people I wouldn't want to be around. I lost almost everything. But I always had my laptop. And every single day, for the last 1.5 years, I coded, experimented, broke things, fixed them, and kept going.

I've always been obsessed with numbers and patterns. One day I noticed that LLM's was giving completely different answers to the same question. I knew there had to be hidden logic underneath the noise (except stochasticity). I started digging. First with big brands, then deeper and deeper. That's how VeritasLinks was born.
