I quit my full-time job today to focus on building my product.

Still have a part-time job to finance my living. I hope I will make the best at this time.

Well done on taking the bold step. All the best with your project. If you can share what is the idea you are working on?

I am still working on my idea, will share it soon.

Congrats! Depending on what you do, It's not a bad idea to take on a few (but not many) independent clients, that way you can fund your life while still keeping your primary focus your business.

Yes, it's a quite painful question for me. I used to quit my full-time job in the process of building my product because I wanted to fully focus on it. But the reality is, I had to eat into my savings, and then I decided to come back to the part-time job. So, I really suggest not quite your job unless you start earning a good profit. A friend of mine quit his full-time job when his SaaS started to bring him $15K in monthly profit.

Yeah, I think about that decision a lot. I have been at the company for 3 years, but this time I feel no motivation to keep working in the company anymore. I also found a part-time job which bring some money so I decided to quit.

    All the best mate!
That's indeed a huge leap and inspiring to hear. I can only wonder when I'll be able to do that - for now I'm just an evenings and weekends indiehacker with a non-tech day-job - but I am beginning to realize there's only so far I can sustainably go with my current setup.

Congrats! This is a huge leap that most only dream of making.

Have you tried to do both a full time job while building your product?

I try to do this... definitely can get overwhelming and you can burn out easily

I definitely can't do it. The full-time job in which I worked for 3 years requires me to join a lot of meetings that burn me out easily. Fortunately, the part-time job brings the same money while giving me time to work for myself.
