As a solo founder juggling networking, pitches, and product updates, I needed a way to make sharing contact info easier (and honestly, less awkward).
So I tested 3 methods over the past month:
Paper cards — great design, but honestly... outdated. People either lost them or took a picture and discarded the card.
LinkedIn QR Code — quite functional. But it felt impersonal and required both of us to be in the LN app simultaneously. Not ideal during casual chats.
Digital business card — a game-changer. Stored in my Apple wallet, scannable in 2 seconds, fully customizable. No need for apps. People actually remembered me.
💡 Verdict: Digital cards (especially wallet-based) are the best business cards for founders and indie makers (e.g. Wisery.io, Popl, Mobilo). They’re fast, trackable, update-friendly, and make you look like you’ve got your sh*t together.
What do you use to share your info quickly and memorably?
I use digital cards as well. If you're in IT, I feel having these is better than paper cards. Like people want to make you feel like you can bring their business into the future, not keep them old-school.
Absolutely! 🙌 this really takes it to the next level
Paper cards feel so old-school now. You're right, a digital card in the wallet sounds like the perfect fix for making connections smooth and memorable.
Digital cards sound like a dream for staying organized and making a good impression. And that Apple Wallet idea is genius!
yep, like it too
Thanks for sharing
I’m still in the early stages of building and hadn’t thought much about this yet, but your take on wallet-based digital cards got my attention. Going to look into it as well and not be an outdated dinosaur lol.
Haha, glad it caught your eye :)
I love the idea and digital cards might be the new way to share info and I am sure with time, it becomes very much innovative and faster to share info rather than sending links or whatnot, you could just swipe on your phone and the other party gets your contact on their phone, just like a bluetooth transfer or like the "airdrop" method
I totally agree, digital cards really could change the way we share info. Exciting to see where it all goes
