For a long time my product photos were bad. Not "needs a filter" bad. Bad.
But the photos weren't the real problem. Consistency was. I ran an e-commerce skincare brand and knew social was the growth channel — content was just one more task after shipping, support, inventory, suppliers. Days became weeks. Weeks became months. An inactive account quietly costs you: missed sales, lost visibility, customers discovering someone else instead.
So I'm building startposting: upload one product photo, get back a styled image plus the captions written — headline, short and long copy, CTA, hashtags. One deliberate limit: it restyles your real product, it never generates a fake one. Shoppers zoom in to check the thing is real.
Where it stands:
- launched, live at startposting.app
- 0 customers
- 3 free posts to try, plans from $14/mo
- today: submitted to 8 directories, the first real distribution push
Nothing to show off yet. That's sort of the point, I'd rather figure out distribution in the open.
For those of you selling physical products: what actually stopped you from posting consistently ,making the content, or deciding what to say?
I like that the story begins with consistency rather than content quality.
It's easy to assume growth stalls because the work isn't good enough, when sometimes the bigger challenge is making something sustainable enough that it actually keeps happening.
