A few months ago, I noticed something frustrating. Not a big problem; but a constant one.
Every day, I was doing tiny tasks like:
Checking if a meta title was too long
Resizing an image for print
Cleaning up text or formatting
Each one takes… what, 1–2 minutes?
But here’s the catch: I had to use a different tool every single time
Open tab → search → deal with ads → maybe log in → do the task → close tab
Repeat. Again, and again.
It wasn’t the 2 minutes that hurt. It was:
Breaking focus
Jumping between sites
Losing momentum
When you’re trying to build something, that kills productivity more than anything.
Instead of searching for better tools… I built my own collection of online tools in one place: No signups. No clutter. No “AI-powered everything”.
Just:
Fast
Focused
Single-purpose tools
Most tool sites try to do everything. They end up with:
100+ tools
Slow pages
Feature overload
I went the opposite way.
Rules I set for myself:
If it’s not used often → don’t build it
If it’s not instant → simplify it
If it needs login → scrap it
This online imager resizer tool started as something I built just for myself. Because I kept running into this problem:
Print an image → comes out blurry
Wrong dimensions
DPI confusion
It’s one of those things that should be simple… but often isn’t. So, I made a tool that:
Handles scaling properly
Keeps images sharp
Removes the guesswork
Now I use it constantly.
This project made me realize a few things:
You don’t need a big SaaS idea. Sometimes: solving tiny problems = real value
People don’t want more options. They want something that works instantly
Everything feels “done” online…but a lot of tools are still:
Slow
Bloated
Overcomplicated
I’m thinking about:
Doubling down on niche tools (instead of general ones)
Improving UX instead of adding features
Maybe turning this into a small ecosystem over time
But I’m not 100% sure yet.
If you build things, I’m curious… what’s a “2-minute task” you do all the time that annoys you?
Something repetitive
Something that breaks your flow
Something that should be easier
I’m looking for ideas to build next; and I’d rather solve real problems than guess.
This isn’t a huge startup idea. But it’s:
Useful
Fast to build
Already saving me time daily
And honestly, that feels like a good place to start.
I got tired of wasting time on small repetitive tasks → built my own fast, no-login tools instead.
