I recently chatted with a VC that changed my perspective on building

I recently chatted with a VC about
Crewcharge and here's one advice that changed how I viewed things as an indiehacker.

I showed them a bunch of features and how my product had the end to end ecosystem to accompany several companies.

Their reply?

Build a sharp knife that does one job extremely well, instead of an swiss army knife.

Stop building features. Make one feature unbelievably good.

What would it take for a company that has 100,000 leads every month to use your product even if it's the smallest use-case?

This was a shocker to me as this was the exact mistake I did! Hope this helps (if you are looking for investment down the lane)

You can also rephrase this as: Segment, segment, segment. You can easily grab a piece of the market with large and established competitors if you built the right feature well for a specific segmente. Think about how many CRM tools are out there. How many scheduling and appointment tools. But not everyone uses Salesforce and Hubspot. Think about dentists, lawyers, daycare. They're all in need of a more specific solution that essentially implements the same underlying funcationlity.
