I removed email gates and VPN restrictions. It completely changed how people could access my product.

For a while, I thought I had a traffic problem.
I kept looking for new places to promote my products, convinced that I simply needed more visitors.
Then I looked at the experience from a visitor's perspective.
Someone would click my link, want to try a free resource... and immediately hit two obstacles.
First, they were asked for an email before downloading anything.
Second, some visitors couldn't even access the website because of VPN restrictions.
Neither of those steps helped someone discover my work. They only added friction.
So this week I made a decision.
I removed the email requirement completely.
I also removed the VPN restriction, so people can access the site regardless of how they're connected.
Now visitors can simply open the website, explore the products, and download the free resources instantly.
It's a small technical change, but it feels like a much better first experience.
I'm sharing a short video of the updated flow.

I'd love to hear how other founders think about this.
Do you gate your free resources behind an email, or do you prefer making them instantly accessible?
