I run 5 restaurants and built the financial tool I wish I had

Hey everyone,

I'm Geoffrey, restaurateur in Paris since 2020. I've run 5 restaurants. I learned one thing the hard way: the numbers always come too late.

Your accountant does great work — once a year. But the leaks start in September and you find out in April. A supplier quietly raising prices. Payroll drifting above threshold. Waste nobody tracks. By the time you see it, you've lost thousands.

I looked for a tool that would catch this in real time. Nothing existed for independent restaurants. Generic accounting software doesn't know what a healthy food cost looks like. Restaurant ERPs focus on POS and reservations, not financial health. Consultants charge 500 euros/month and spend most of their time on spreadsheets.

So I built Nael. It connects to your accounting exports (no bank connection needed), analyzes 35 financial criteria calibrated by restaurant type, and gives you a health score, leak detection, cash flow projections, and actionable recommendations.

The first month I used it on my own restaurant, I found 1,030 euros/month in invisible leaks.

It's free during beta. I'm onboarding users now and building in public — 1 video/day on TikTok about the real financial problems restaurants face.

Would love feedback from anyone here. What would you want to see in a tool like this?
