I scraped 5,000 pages of legal PDFs to find "hidden" franchise data

Hey hackers,

I was looking into buying a franchise recently and realized the "real" numbers (Churn Rates, Net Income, Ad Fund fees) are buried in 400-page PDFs called FDDs. They are messy, non-standardized, and painful to read.

So I spent the last month building a pipeline to ingest these PDFs, identify the financial tables, and structure the data into a clean UI.

I just soft-launched with 2024/2025 data for the "Chicken" category (Popeyes, Wingstop, etc.) to stress-test the parser.
