I shipped two free solopreneur spreadsheets (monthly P&L + quarterly tax set-aside)

I needed one number for the month (what I kept) and one number for the quarter (what to park for tax). Everything else was extra.

So I shipped two free workbooks:

  1. Monthly P&L lite — revenue, expenses, profit, tax set-aside from one percentage.
  2. Quarterly tax set-aside — three monthly profits (or a quarter total) into a suggested park and a running YTD.

Formula-only. SUM, IF, ROUND. No macros. Excel or Google Sheets. Each file opens with an example year so the math is visible before you type.

Pro is $19: one file that pulls monthly profits into quarters and owner-pay after tax. Not on GitHub. Checkout: https://buy.polar.sh/polar_cl_FNp5fjRfVQQkg1Xr5qXLGeus9hrmScjVMTwZG2mcHbr

What it is not: tax advice, a 1040-ES, a bracket engine, or a bookkeeping suite.

Built with an AI agent. Happy to take formula bugs. Not taking “add AI that files my taxes.”

Appreciate this — you nailed the job.

It’s not “make a spreadsheet.” It’s stop guessing when the month is already messy.

I’m going to lean into a clearer monthly close flow and a Confidence Check up top (uncategorized, missing income, weird categories, last updated) so the number is something you trust before you act on it.

That’s the path from calculator to habit. Thanks for spelling it out.

Set-aside % is cash discipline. Sept 15 still needs the send number. Sept 15 Estimated-Tax Worksheet for 1099s, $19. https://atlashelpscompany.gumroad.com/l/zfdxar Not tax advice.

Yeah — set-aside % is the cash habit. Sept 15 still wants a number you can actually send.

That’s why I keep a monthly P&L and a quarterly set-aside sheet in the same place: what I kept that month, then what to park for the quarter. Free workbooks here: https://solopreneurpl.com — Pro is $19 if you want them in one file. Not tax advice.

The deliberately narrow scope is interesting. You’ve resisted turning a simple financial workflow into a broader bookkeeping product, which makes the product proposition very clear.
