I should have been a multimillionaire but it didn't happen as planned

10 years ago, with a friend I had the idea to launch food trucks.

Today, we should have managed a fleet of over 1000 franchised food trucks crisscrossing our sweet France.

And all this from our sofas, working 1h27 per week.

Everything was ready:

  • Market study
  • Business plan on a beautiful excel spreadsheet
  • Name of the franchise

...

So why, today, am I not a millionaire?
Despite a 1 million dollar ideas 💰
Simply for one good reason

........... EXECUTION

Ideas, at the time and still today, I have 1 per day (I have found a notion with about 30 pictures).

1- Everyone has ideas.
2- Everyone keeps them secret.

👉 Can execute them.

A person who has an idea, tells everyone about it and builds something.

And a person who has an idea doesn't tell anyone for fear of having it "stolen".

Who has the best chance of becoming a millionaire?

Anyway, all this to say that if you have an idea:

  • Share it (you might find someone who wants to build it with you)

  • Execute it (on a misunderstanding, it can work)

Otherwise, your idea is great (I'm sure) but worthless.

Always a good reminder, brother. I'm an "ideas guy" too. I can't count how many I've logged. But I am working on several, slow as it goes... a little kick in the pants now and then doesn't hurt (too much).

    Ah yes, but "which" idea?

Execution can be often overwhelming to start with as it involves so many different skills. Development, promotion, validation, design – at the least. How would you recommend getting started with your first idea?
