I Sold the domain name cointoss. xyz for 1,200

Sold the domain name CoinToss. xyz for 1,200

Domain purchased on 05/23/2021

Domain Sold on 02/22/2022

Domain taken in 39 other extensions

Google search volume for the keyword coin toss: 45,500 monthly with low ranking competition and 7.00 low cpc bid and the high being 8.00 dollars (I may have undersold this one).

Idea/vision for the name and why I invested in the name

Thought it was a good name and could be a nice brand name especially in defi or in the crypto space. Also, due to the recent rise in popularity with the .xyz extension in the crypto/defi/metaverse space, it made even more sense to invest in the name.

Nice! Which platform/s did you buy and sell the domain through?

      Hello @nimbus1

I bought the domain at Sav.com and sold it via afternic.com

      Hey @selamatpagiamir

I get the data from Google Keyword Planner. It use a very useful tool that Google has available if you have a Google Ads account. You can get the info I provided in the post and more.

    Congratulations, Lynox.

I am not into this flipping thing. But I recently registered some domains(.xyz). What should I do now? Any tips?

      Hey Atul,

I assume you registered the names with the intent to develop and no longer have use for the names (or maybe you registered with the intent to sell) either case, you have a couple options.

You can list the names at aftermarket platforms such as afternic.com, sedo.com, dan.com and flippa.com. The best (IMO) is Afternic, a tie between Dan and Sedo and lastly Flippa. The reason I say this is because Afternic is owned by Godaddy and when you list your names there they become visible and purchasable via GoDaddy's registration path. Plus, afternic has a registrar network that allows your domain to be visible via other domain name registrars such as Namecheap, Porkbun, Network Solutions, Dynadot, etc. Sedo and Dan also have partner networks but not as extensive as GoDaddy/Afternic

You Also have the option to sell then at domain marketplaces like BrandBucket, SquadHelp and Brandaisy but they evaluate names and the names have to be accepted.

All platforms will take a commission if your name sells and they commission can vary from 7% to 35% of sale price depending on which platform you use and sale price.
