Hi Indie Hackers,
Last summer I created a website with programmatic SEO. It has a few thouthands pages. That time I found that Google does not index all of them and wrote a simple python script to request indexing in Google automatically.
Recently I realised that it can be a SaaS that helps others too. So I created QuickIndex — a tool that helps you automatically index your website in Google. Every day, it submits up to 1k pages to Google for indexing, making it possible to be indexed in ~24 hours.
Even before I published my project anywhere I got two customers from google and realised how valuable this project can be. Being alive less than a month, QuickIndex already serves 66395 pages and has several customers. I know I can make it a great SEO solution which is more than just automatic indexing.
I am open to any ideas and feedback. Thank you.
That's a great story!
I'm actually still fighting to understand why Google doesn't like my blog pages.
They are not indexed even if I submit them :(
This is very strange! Usually when I submitted pages, it works. Though page indexing status in GCS is not instantly updated. Have you waited enough to see the update?
Yes, since December. And submitted multiple times.
They are AI-generated blog posts, but Google should be ok with that.
Yes, it should be ok. Google can't identify whether a post is AI generated or not.
Good one. Keep going mate.
Cheers!
GJ, how long did it take to build?
One month given that this is my side project (so evenings and weekends only)
Just be careful putting your eggs in one basket. It doesn't take much for Google to break your script and be left with nothing which sucks if you're a paying customer.
Maybe also have scripts that do the same for bing, duckduckgo, etc if possible as backup.
Yep this is 100% true, platform is a risk here.
