I spent more time looking for customers than building my SaaS

Every time I launched a project, I ran into the same problem.

Building wasn't the hard part.

Finding the first customers was.

I'd spend hours searching Reddit, X, and Hacker News looking for people who were already asking for a product like mine. Most of the work was repetitive: searching keywords, reading hundreds of posts, deciding who had real buying intent, and writing personalized replies.

That frustration led me to build MentionLeads.

It discovers high-intent conversations across Reddit, X, and Hacker News, prioritizes them with AI, and drafts replies that you review before posting.

I'm launching the first public version today, and I'd love honest feedback from other founders.

  • What's your biggest challenge with customer acquisition?

  • Would a tool like this solve a real problem for you?

  • What feature would make it an instant "yes"?

I'm here all day and would really appreciate any feedback—good or bad.

I like that you're focusing on finding conversations with buying intent instead of generating more outbound.

The hardest part of founder-led distribution usually isn't writing the reply—it's knowing which conversations are actually worth joining. Reducing that decision cost feels more valuable than simply automating outreach.

    Love what you're building! 👏

One thing that might make demo requests even smoother is using FoxScheduling for your SaaS demos. We've built it specifically to help SaaS companies let prospects book demos instantly without the usual back-and-forth, making the whole process much smoother for both teams and customers.
