I spent the last 2 years unpaid building a mobile app I’m about to release

Hi!

My name is Nathan. 2 years ago the startup I was at suddenly shut down, ending everyone’s jobs. I interviewed a few places, including heavy hitters like Google and Oculus. I made it to the final rounds of interviews but ultimately didn’t get the jobs. I’d already been working on a side project, an app for board gamers. After a lot of deliberation, I decided to go full time on the app. I had the great fortune of finding an incredible designer to partner with who understood my vision and knew how to execute it, and for the last 2 years we’ve been building what I’m excited to share with you today.

Meet Cardboard Companion!

Cardboard Companion helps you discover new games, find people to play them with, use helpful tools while you play, track stats, and manage your digital collection. It will be available on iOS and Android, and is fully cross-platform. We plan to launch the beta in October.

Visit https://cardboardcompanion.com to sign up for the beta and get an overview of the main features of the app.

As I said earlier, I’ve been full time on this app for 2 years, so I’m beyond thrilled to be finally announcing the beta. I’d love to hear your feedback or answer any questions you might have. We also started a Discord server if you’d like to stay in touch as we near the release https://discord.gg/N4hFCCR. Thanks for reading!
