I started a newsletter for recommending the best movies to weekend watchers

During my teenage years, I struggled to balance my desire to watch movies with my academic responsibilities. Although studying was never my forte, I prioritized my schoolwork and limited my movie-watching to weekends only.

At first, this system worked well. However, I soon found myself spending more time searching for movies than actually watching them. Even when I set a time limit for myself, I would often waste half an hour scrolling through options in my preferred genre.

Ultimately, my biggest concern was wasting time. I didn't want to spend my weekends watching a lackluster movie that I would end up skipping through.

I began keeping track of the movies I watched and enjoyed, compiling lists and seeking out the best sources for my weekend viewing. My bookmark collection is extensive.

As I frequently discuss movies on my Instagram, many people began asking me for recommendations. They were happy with my suggestions and even passed them along to their friends.

Realizing that people appreciated my movie expertise, I began writing about films on my blog. Eventually, I started a newsletter to share recommendations with larger groups of weekend movie watchers.
