I Started a War with AI Sycophancy

An LLM will tell you your idea is great. Premise will tell you the truth.

Hello fellow hackers! This is my first post here because as an early founder I figured "why not embarrass myself and be as vulnerable as possible on as many platforms as possible?"

I've spent the last 6 months solo-building Premise in an attempt to give every early founder what I didn't have in my first foray into solo-building: an AI co-founder that doesn't just blow smoke up your a**.

The short version: every AI tool I tried told me my idea was the best thing since sliced bread. While I might've felt that I'd just invented a new sourdough, what I really needed was a fellow teammate who was actually pressure testing my assumptions, not just mindlessly kneading the dough alongside me. Not flattering me, not forgetting all about my venture when I opened a new chat, and not expecting me to already have all the answers and know exactly what questions I needed to be asking.

So, in classic Max fashion I set out to build it for myself. Premise pressure-tests your idea like a true skeptic then helps you turn it into an investor-ready document suite. From there it helps you revise your documents based on real life feedback, rehearse your pitch with a hard-nosed AI VC, and boasts a dual-sided marketplace allowing you to get discovered by serious, hand-picked investors who are actually interested in what you're building.

Premise is currently free to build your first venture and the investor side of the platform is in free open beta. It's still very early days; I'm a team of one in a space that's growing like wildfire, but that's only given me more fuel to keep going. I'd love this community to tell me their thoughts.
