Hi IndieHackers π
This year I challenged myself to explore and build. I started with the 12 startups/projects in 12 months challenge and initially set out to build a Stripe-to-PDF-invoicer tool.
Instead, I ended up with 2 info products and one free writing ideation tool.
Here's my mid-month write up: https://www.artlapinsch.com/twelve1-1/
TL;DR learnings so far:
- I Don't Know What I'm Going to Build (in advance)
- Opportunities Are All Around You β I split this one out into (network; twitter; blog)
- 'Sell' Your Sawdust β repurposing your work helps create additional projects/touchpoints
- Keep a Log of All Your Ideas (Especially the Shitty Ones) β coming up with new stuff gets easier once the gunk is out of the way
- Ship, Ship, Ship β more projects = more iterations = faster learning = more projects = higher likelihood of success
Let me know if you have questions, thoughts, etc.
Happy to riff on here π
Looks like you're pretty ahead of schedule. Loving the progress it's inspiring, keep up the great work!
Thanks, Tay!
Appreciate the kind note. It helps that the projects are all rather small in scope but I think that is actually quite helpful.
It feels like there's a good momentum + more often than not something simple gets the job done anyway.
