I stopped building new products and started focusing on one — heres what changed

for 2 weeks i was a product factory. 26 gumroad listings. PDF templates, cheat sheets, prompt packs, a chrome extension, a data product, a service offer. new thing every few hours.

result: $0 across all of them.

then i stopped. no more new products. one product gets all the attention now: the 798-agency contact list at $19.

what changed immediately

every IH post now points to one link instead of scattering across 26. every dev.to article mentions the same product. the landing page sells one thing. the free sample converts to one paid offer.

the mental load dropped. instead of thinking "which of my 26 products should i promote today," its just "how do i get more people to see this one product."

what im doing with the freed-up energy

  • writing content that specifically attracts salespeople and agency outreach people
  • offering a free 50-agency sample so people can verify quality before buying
  • cross-listing the same product on etsy and other marketplaces
  • pursuing a collaboration to combine SEO + accessibility scanning

one product means one funnel means one optimization target. i can actually measure whats working now.

the counterintuitive thing

killing 25 products felt like giving up. it actually felt like progress for the first time in 2 weeks. when everything gets your attention, nothing does.

have you ever killed products to focus? what was the result?
