I stopped choosing posting times and my consistency problem disappeared

Small workflow change that fixed a problem I'd had for a year: I post on social to drive inbound for my SaaS, but I'd go quiet every time work got busy. The bottleneck was never writing — it was the per-post decision overhead. Every post meant choosing a time, checking what I'd already published this week, and re-balancing across platforms. Roughly five decisions per post, none of them fun.

The fix was embarrassingly simple: decide the posting times once. I set fixed weekly slots (Tue/Thu mornings, Sat afternoon) and made one rule — new content goes to the back of the queue, no exceptions. Writing and timing are now completely separate jobs. Batching works again: four posts written Sunday fill the next four slots without me touching a calendar.

Result: longest unbroken posting streak since I started, on less time than before.

I liked the workflow enough that I shipped it into my product (XreplyAI — set slots, Add to Queue, posts reflow automatically):
