I stopped cross-posting identical text. Here's the composer change that fixed it.

A small build update that's punched above its weight for my own use.

The problem: I post across about a dozen networks, and the post body was the friction point. Identical text everywhere reads lazy and gets throttled as near-duplicate. Tailoring each one by hand means rewriting the same idea five times before 9am. I'd been doing the lazy version and feeling bad about it.

The decision: instead of a separate composer per platform (too much work) or one shared box (too generic), I went with a base-plus-override model. You write the post once on an "All" tab.

That base text auto-fills every connected platform. Each platform then has its own tab where you tweak only that version: shorten for X, use Bluesky's longer limit, add hashtags on Threads. Each tab carries its own live character count, and a Reset button drops a tab back to the base if you overdo it.

The tradeoff I like: you only spend effort where a platform actually warrants a different take. Most posts I change one or two tabs and let the rest ride the base. It turned "five rewrites" into "one write, two tweaks."

If you cross-post, I'm curious where you land: identical everywhere, or hand-tailored per network?
