I stopped launching at midnight Pacific because I’m not in California

I used to treat Product Hunt’s midnight Pacific drop like it was the only clock that mattered. Problem is I live in IST. Midnight PT is lunch for me, but the make-or-break window is the first 1–6 hours when makers reply to comments. For Asia and EU founders that window lands while you’re asleep or half-awake. You wake up to a graveyard of unanswered “how is this different?” threads and the rank already decided.

So I stopped planning my board days around California. On the Aura++ daily launch board (https://auraplusplus.com) the daily reset is 8:00am UTC. For me that’s about 1:30pm IST. I’m already at the keyboard. I can answer the first wave of questions while they’re still warm. That sounds small until you watch a launch die because the maker went quiet for six hours.

I still respect PH. It’s not what Aura++ is trying to replace. Aura++ sits around Best Launch Platforms rank ~62 in that world — useful, not the only room. Premium is the lasting SEO piece for me: dofollow roughly DR 69–70 plus a hunter room that doesn’t evaporate overnight. Free daily is the attention test; Premium is the link that sticks.

Timezone is just one ranking variable. On Best Launch Platforms (https://bestlaunchplatforms.com) I keep a boring note now: when does the board reset, and am I awake for the first replies? If the answer is no, I don’t force that day. I’d rather ship an update on a board whose clock matches my life than beg for votes at 3am.
