For a long time, my agency was built like every other agency.
New client.
New custom setup.
New workload.
It worked, but it was slow and repetitive.
Then I noticed something. Clients kept asking for the systems I was using behind the scenes, not the custom work.
They wanted the exact workflows I used to run cold callers, cold emails, and content.
They wanted to run them on their own without waiting on me.
So I started turning those internal systems into templates.
⸻
What changed
• Instead of rebuilding the same automation for every client, I packaged it once.
• People stopped asking for “services” and started asking for the actual system.
• My time became separate from fulfillment.
• I could sell the same workflow many times without more work.
⸻
What I learned
People want something that already works.
They don’t care if it’s “custom.” They just want results.
Agencies repeat the same setups again and again.
If you do something twice, you can package it.
Productizing gives you scale.
There are only so many clients you can manually serve.
There is no limit on how many people can buy a working template.

Why I’m sharing this
A lot of people here on Indie Hackers build small tools and systems for themselves.
Some of those could easily become products.
I didn’t see it at first, but it completely changed my business.
Curious if anyone else here has turned part of their agency workflow into a product.
