I stopped wasting money on ads and started buying assets instead. Here's the framework.

Hey IH,

For the first couple of years of my business, my marketing budget felt like a leaky bucket. I was constantly pouring money into Google and Facebook ads, and the moment I stopped, the leads dried up.

The game changed when I reframed my entire marketing philosophy around one question: "Am I buying an expense, or am I buying an asset?"
Expense: An ad. Value is gone tomorrow.

Asset: An evergreen, SEO-optimized product review on a trusted site. It will send me traffic and build my brand's credibility for years.

My rule now is to allocate at least 50% of my marketing budget to building permanent assets. The compounding returns have been incredible. My baseline traffic is now higher and way more resilient.

I wrote down my entire framework for this, including a simple 3-question audit you can use to check your own spend. Figured it would be helpful for other founders trying to build something that lasts.

Hope this helps someone stop feeding the ad machine and start building real enterprise value.
