Hey IH community,
Over the past 6 months, I've shed a significant amount of weight. Surprisingly, as a doctor, I found the process of getting my labs done more cumbersome than I expected!
That's why I launched HealthPR.co – an at-home, comprehensive lab testing solution tailored specifically for fitness enthusiasts.
So far, the feedback has been incredibly positive, with friends and family buying multiple kits.
I've reached out to several gyms and fitness influencers, offering them a $30 commission per kit as affiliates. But, much to my surprise, I haven’t received much traction. Are there more effective channels I should explore? Are there companies that handle the marketing and advertising, and simply take a percentage of sales? This world of online marketing is pretty new to me, and I'd truly appreciate any insights or advice.
Thank you!
You could try affiliate marketing platforms, and see if you can find a few vendors that would market the platform for you.
Marketing is difficult, Having a strong social media presence is extremely valuable in todays market. Find a local university and get in contact with the business school. Create and have the school send/post a job application for an unpaid social media marketing internship for marketing students. You should get a good amount of applications and you'll be amazed at what these kids can accomplish. They can very quickly grow your online social media brand and allow your company to have more outreach
Probably you need to go to the right person to sell. The product market fit: Key to Business Success: Finding Product-Market Fit
Have you tried promoting to fitness reddit group ? facebook group ? maybe you should register as member in the gym and try sell the product while doing fitness with you customer.
Maybe you need sell it at fitness events.
From what I understand your product will work the best if you talk to the customer directly.
Good luck to you
Taking Marketing tasks in-house is time-consuming and if you don't want to invest in it it's super slow! However if you have bandwidth and want to learn more, there are great Udemy courses like: The Complete Digital Marketing Guide
If you suck at marketing then try investing in SEO
Research keywords with volume of more than ~1k and KD less than 10. You can use Free Keyword Generator by Ahrefs for that
Target those keywords in your metadata and content, write blog posts, etc.
Leave it for a few months and check the results
Hey there!
First off congratulations on the health transformation!
Checking out your website and your product it really seems like a amazing idea!
As far as marketing goes I've been in the marketing and design business for over 5 years now And I got to say well affiliates can be really good in the short term long term I think it's a really bad idea. When it comes to affiliates all you really doing is building their brand and expanding their awareness and not really building your own. You're kind of tying yourself to the people that you affiliate yourself with.
To be honest I think the best idea for you would be to figure out your target audience where they kind of live online and then heavily target them with consistent content if you're able to do that. That's going to build your brand immensely large it may take some time but in the long term and incredible way to ensure a large scaling business.
Right now if you also have the money it might be worth running ads on the platforms that you're target audience most lives on. But again if you consistently made content on the platforms where your target audience is eventually you'll be able to get paid for marketing and reach your target audience in a way that adds just can't.
On the top of my head I would think making content around what your product is and how it works any science behind it and just providing as much value to the viewers as possible will really ensure crazy success.
Congratulations on your weight loss journey and the launch of HealthPR.co!
It's good that you've received positive feedback from friends and family. Building a successful business in the health and fitness industry can be challenging, but you can explore to boost your sales and reach a broader audience with some of these:
Consider partnerships with fitness bloggers, influencers, or health-related websites. Collaborate on content or run joint promotions to tap into their existing audiences.
Attend or sponsor health and wellness events, trade shows, or expos to showcase your products and interact directly with potential customers.
Consider speaking with a consultant or a mentor. They can help you develop and execute a targeted marketing strategy.
Every business is a different story. We can't give you the right answer without knowing more about the context, but these steps are usually a good advice to find the right answer for your own product/service:
In parallel, you can improve your landing page:
Hope it helps!
And if you have feedback to share about my own product, feel free to reach out!
www.galiai.com
landing page should be changed asap
funnels should be built
you gotta invest a bit in paid traffic
and build a personal brand out of it
use tiktok to market it like dropship .io is doing on Instagram
Difficult to help you. Health is a difficult subject. There are many rules and regulations... This is where big brands with deep pockets wins... Also, different countries have different ways of compensation. Find out in your target market how the compensation works for others in the same field/segment... Btw, some countries have regulations about marketing health stuff...
marketing is long run. you should do marketing in a steadily way like build your websites, community, SEO, contents and stuff like that. Engaging more on social platforms and sharing it also goods.
Cool product. You could explore marketing it to the longevity community, most people at the gym are there for aesthetics rather than health imo

A great D2C affiliate platform that allows you to choose your commission and conversion type (ie New User purchases) is Impact Radius. We've worked with this as an affiliate channel that drove a ton of new purchases + existing purchases without commission payouts (because the deal was for affiliates to earn only if they were new purchases).
Look into it! (google Impact Radius)
If you want to market the platform yourself, it might be a good idea to try affiliate marketing platforms.
Hey looks great product but i would suggest rethinking the messaging and marketing it as a must, not a nice to have expensive solution.
The value needs to be clear and the relevant audience needs to see it.
For example, even people who are just thinking of training should first check and customize their plans (many might check and never exercise)
Gyms that do not offer this, should be looked at weirdly...what do you mean u do the same for everyone?
DM me if u want, love to help
First of all, congrats on the successful weight loss and launch!
Secondly, there are a lot of great marketing ideas in the comments.
But, marketing is not as simple as a single touch-point journey.
Customers need to be exposed to your brand or product multiple times before they decide to buy from you.
That might (at often does) take as long as 6 months from the point where a person first hears about your product to the point where they buy from you.
First of all, be aware that there are a few stages that the customer is in the relationship with your product:
This is what we call a Marketing Funnel.
Some people will hop on or off in the different stages of the funnel, but most of them will follow a path like this:
Long story short:
You need to think of your marketing as a customer journey - a full experience that customer goes through when interacting with your brand or company.
The more they are exposed to your product, the more probable they will buy.
Don't ditch your current marketing efforts.
Make sure to build them into your marketing funnel, test them, and then decide whether to move on or to 10x on them.
I’d be up offering you that service, let’s talk!
Hey,
The most effective form of marketing is word-of-mouth growth - especially for indiehackers with little time to do marketing (and not much experience doing it).
BUT, the problem is that, if you don't have very many customers in the first place, it's difficult to generate word-of-mouth growth!
However, you can still generate tons of word-of-mouth growth from NON-CUSTOMERS if you use a certain strategy that indiehackers like YNAB, Bullet journal have used (as well as larger companies like HubSpot, Apple, CrossFit & others).
I talk about it on my website and give a ton of case studies of how it works - you can check it out here: www.thebluntmethod.com
Hope that helps
Best
Chris
I commend you for your incredible personal transformation journey and for launching HealthPR.co. I can relate to your marketing struggles. I FACED SIMILAR CHALLENGES when I started Logomakerr.ai (https://logomakerr.ai/), an online logo design platform. Here's how I turned things around:
Targeted Ads: Use platforms like Facebook and Google Ads to reach fitness enthusiasts directly.
Quality Content: Create informative content on the importance of lab testing for fitness enthusiasts and share it widely.
Influencer Collabs: Partner with fitness influencers whose followers match your target audience.
Email Marketing: Collect emails and use them for personalized marketing campaigns.
Expand Affiliate Program: Include fitness-related bloggers and websites in your affiliate program.
Professional Help: Consider hiring digital marketing experts for specialized guidance.
Customer Reviews: Encourage happy customers to leave reviews to build trust.
Analytics: Use analytics to refine your strategies over time.
These steps transformed my marketing efforts at Logomakerr.ai, a leading online platform for logo design. Best of luck with HealthPR.co!
Congrats on your launch
Before getting into sales my suggestion is to find the right audience
Whether fitness enthusiasts is the right target audience?
Do you have any data for that?
Have you validated the product idea?
If you are sure about your target market then you can hire someone and delegate marketing and sales so that you can focus on product improvment and quality
You can try PR, affliate marketing program, content marketing thru blog and other social media platforms also you can find right social Media influencers to create brand awarness
Hi.
Would you be interested in getting your word out to the US College community? We're working on a project that would be able to get your word/message out to users/students.
Get back to me if we can talk.
