I Think I Accidentally Solved One of the Hardest Problems for AI Tool Builders

When an AI founder launches a product, the next question is almost always:

How do I get people to actually discover it?

Most answers are familiar.

  • Post on Product Hunt.
  • Write SEO articles.
  • Buy ads.
  • Hope Reddit likes it.

Those channels matter, but I realized something.

Most directories stop working the moment a tool is published.

The listing goes live...

...and then waits for Google to hopefully find it.

I wanted something different.

So I built a simple loop.

Every time a new AI tool is listed on AIToolsRecap:

  • Every reviewer receives a daily digest featuring the newest tools.
  • Reviewers discover products they probably wouldn't have seen otherwise.
  • They can leave reviews and earn credits.
  • AI founders receive genuine feedback and social proof.
  • The product gets fresh exposure instead of sitting unnoticed.

The interesting part is that this doesn't only help founders.

Over the last few days I've started noticing:

  • More returning visitors.
  • Higher email engagement.
  • More branded searches.
  • Better CTR across several pages.

I can't say the email alone caused those changes.

But it reminded me of something important.

Traffic isn't only about attracting new people.

Sometimes it's about creating a reason for the right people to come back tomorrow.

That's now become my focus.

Not just building another AI directory...

...but building a system that helps every new AI tool get discovered by people who are already interested in trying AI products.

I'm curious:

If you're building an AI product today, what's been your biggest challenge?

Getting traffic?

Getting feedback?

Or simply getting your first 100 people to notice you?

If you're building an AI tool, feel free to list it on AIToolsRecap. It's completely free to register, and every new listing is shared with our reviewer community through our daily digest so you can start collecting real user feedback and reviews from day one.
