I think I found a real pain point – AI tools making devs burn out faster. Is this just me?

I’ve been talking to a few developer friends who use Copilot, Cursor, etc. The common complaint isn't "AI writes bad code". It's something else.

They feel more pressure to finish things faster because "AI can do the boring parts". But in reality, their working hours got longer, not shorter. Managers expect 2x output with the same deadline. Boundaries between work and life are gone.

So here’s my question: is this actually a real problem? Would developers ever pay for something that helps manage this AI-induced productivity pressure? Or am I overthinking it?

Curious what you all think. Do you feel this too, or is it just a small group?
