I thought comparing peptide clinics would be simple — it isn’t

I’ve been working on a small side project recently, and I thought this would be a simple problem to solve.

At the start, everything looks easy. You go on a few clinic sites and they all seem to say the same thing. Similar pricing, similar language, similar promises. It gives you this sense that you’re just choosing between a few equivalent options.

But the more I looked, the more that fell apart.

Two providers can both say something like “$299/month” and on the surface it feels like a direct comparison. But when you actually dig into what’s included, they’re often completely different. One might include consultations, medication and ongoing support. Another might just be access to the medication with everything else layered on later.

So you’re not really comparing prices. You’re comparing totally different service models that just happen to use the same number.

That was the moment it clicked for me — this isn’t really a pricing problem, it’s a structure problem.

Most of these sites don’t clearly explain what’s included, how support works, or what the experience looks like after the first month. So people end up making decisions based on surface-level information, because that’s all they have.

What I’ve started doing is trying to break things down in a more honest way — not focusing on exact prices, but on how each provider actually operates. Things like how much support is involved, whether it feels like a real clinic or just a checkout flow, and how the ongoing experience works.

It’s still very early, but I’m starting to see a few small signals. Some impressions coming in through Google, a handful of clicks, and interestingly a bit of engagement from Medium posts where I’ve been writing about this.

Nothing major yet, but enough to make me think the problem is real.

I’m curious how other people think about this kind of thing. When you’re comparing something in a space like this, what actually makes you trust one option over another?

And for anyone who’s built comparison-style products before — was there a moment where it suddenly “clicked” for users?

Curious how others think about this — when you’re comparing something like this, what actually makes you trust one option over another?
