I Thought Janitor AI Was Just Another Chatbot. I Was Wrong.

First time I used Janitor AI, I closed it in under 10 minutes.

It felt like every other tool. Decent responses, nothing that made me stay.

That should have been the end.

But I went back a few days later to understand why the reactions were so different, especially on janitor AI reddit where opinions are completely split.

That’s when I realized I was using it wrong.

Janitor AI is not built to be just a chatbot. It works more like a system where the output changes based on how you configure and connect things.

Same tool. Completely different experience.

      The part that stuck with me is how people think they’re testing the tool, but they’re actually testing their own setup. That first 10-minute judgment is almost always misleading.

      And yeah, that “UX window” you mentioned feels real — too simple and it underperforms, too complex and people drop off before the value shows up.

      Until that point, it just feels like another tool. After that, you start seeing what it’s actually capable of.
