I Thought Users Were Procrastinating. I Was Wrong.

I thought procrastination was an execution problem.
After watching users interact with TruthLoop, I noticed something different.
Many users already knew what they needed to do.
The hesitation wasn't about information.
It was about avoiding what taking action might reveal.
One user started with:
"I know exactly what I should do, but I still avoid doing it."
A few questions later, the pattern became:
"I'm afraid I'll discover I'm not good enough."
That changed how I think about procrastination.
Maybe most procrastination isn't a productivity problem.
Maybe it's an emotional protection system.
Curious:
What's the most surprising thing your users have taught you?
