I took some homepage feedback, and want to know if I hit the mark!
I got some really great feedback on the content of the homepage a few weeks ago, and finally took some time off of working on the actual product to do some content editing.
How's it looking? Is the value prop clear enough?

I didn't see it before so can't comment on the improvement, but overall, I'd say I'm not sure I understand the benefit.
What pain is August solving? 'Hacker' is a very broad audience these days, so think carefully about who you're targeting.
If it's possible, it might also be worth putting a few screenshots of other sites built with August to make it clearer.
The mobile site definitely suffers from not having that lovely gif, so maybe you could add something in at the smaller breakpoint that shows it in image form, or just summarises that information?

Thank you for the input! The core issue I’m solving is: creating a self-hosted static site can be a pain, August makes it easy.
Am I under emphasizing that, or is it just not a killer feature in your opinion?
I would put that exact sentence front and centre :) Remember you have 0.3 seconds for people to decide to stay on your homepage. Seeing as you have such a concise handle on the exact pain - put it out there! :)
