I was tired of following conventions and trends out there when building this. So I basically just went kinda nuts here lol
It's cool! I like it. It would be even better for me if there were fewer texts.
yea my next revamp on it when launching you gonna wish it had more texts lol
I am not that deep into note taking app, but it seems like you know the problem you are solving.
The landing page feels at the intersection between a art portfolio and landing page.
Visually very pleasing, but I do not know how it will perform conversion wise (maybe that was never the purpose in the first place).
to hell with conversion lol jk. but hey thanks yea it was a breath of fresh air and fun again when building this page :D

Honest feedback: When I opened the first time, I got a good feel but as I scrolled through it just went out of my mind and when I reached the end I had no clue what exactly is the app about XD. Then I again started from the top and read the text to get some idea, initially I was confused as to what is so unique in this tool but towards the end I got some sense of it.
I don't think 99% of the people will give so much time to this, so if you want to attract users, the content can be improved and be more focused and reduced. But even if that's not your aim, still I would suggest reducing the text and making things clearer as it will only save the time of the visitor.
Looking forward to using this tool.
THANK YOU(and sorryyyy)
Yeah, when I launch, it's gonna extremely focused on the product.
To give some background, when I was building this landing page, there's no product. All I had was some noteworthy(to my mind) features I'd been hacking for months, and some personal experience with existing editors. On top of that was the desire to do things differently. Hence, this landing page: storytelling, non-linearity, a playful trip - while not coming off as unhinged: all preview videos are on the left side(less disorientation and to retain some pattern for the reader), clear association of headers and stories, line length of the paragraphs, and etc. It's a trip that somehow at the end of it, it all...clicked.
Thank you again for your time, attention, and patience. I think when the tool is ready, it will make it up to you.
Oh then that makes sense. The current website is basically like a rough sketch of your mind.
I'll be waiting for the tool, where can we connect btw?
Email? haha. I mean I got a twitter but I'm not active at all. I just shoot you an email.
Did you mail me? Sorry, I didn't get one. Should I mail you at hello@zuunote?
yea, to
[email protected]yea why not
That is why it didn't reach me, I should have the email here, it's CO-M and not xyz. If you're wondering why it's capital with a hyphen then it's do bypass this comment not allowing links, they have a weird validation method which checks for tlds, try putting some common used tlds and see XD.
Anyway I am mailing you from my side

Direct feedback here: the page is well-designed and it looks like an art portfolio.
That's the reason why it is absolutely not effective for a product landing page.
Apart from the headline, all the rest don't tell me anything about why I should join the waitlist.
The images are not about the product. The paragraphs are like a blob of color, nothing is attracting the eye of the reader towards something specific, hence, I didn't read anything of it.
The average time of a visitor spent on a landing page is 3 seconds, if you don't attract them, you lose them.
Just trying to provide constructive feedback here of course.
Hey thanks for taking the time to leave your careful feedback with us. I can see where you are coming from. I have factored them in my work going forward, so thank you!
Thoughtful approach to the UI/UX. The layout & creative uses of shapes and colours is very engaging.
yo thanks!(really)
Seems like too much bs for a note taking app that already exists in the form of Notion/Obsidian, also too many English errors.
But I've been looking for something like this that can be npm install'd as a simple component, an Obsidian-like editor, none of the alternatives are good enough. I think if you made it open-source and promoted it you could get big companies using it and supporting it, could add a paid tier for prioritized feature requests and support or something. Or a basic free version of the component and a premium one with integrations with other things.
thanks for the generous feedback!
My shitty English aside lol, sure each thing has tons like it out there. But, (and we hear this alot)I haven't found one that I'm happy with as I tried to articulate in the landing page. A vindication of this effort for me would be when even business non-technical folks found it actually enjoyable to write in markdown lol.
And to get there, it's hard as hell for my peanut brain. I'm actually in the midst of rewriting the whole real-time preview thingy after trial-and-error on it close to one year coz I hit a roadblock I couldn't overcome and no where to turn to coz it's kind of an uncharted territory.
And about how to make money(assuming i can even pull this thing off but seems really promising so far after the rewrite), at this point in time - I don't know. I have read about 'open-core' business model. Right now though, I tilt more towards buy once and own it for certain years of updates kind of thing(like sublime text?). Yeah definitely something to ponder slowly later on once i got a good product on hand :D
(Edit: and yeah I'm definitely open to open source the editor itself. or even the whole thing. Again right now I really don't know how that kinda thing might work out)
The video elements should show a preview, I only see a white box with a play button.
yeah initially they were like that, but they all seemed like just the same blob of blurry gibberish. When it's launched though, no more previews like this: it's gonna be a little bit of nuts design from me before fold, then there would be the editor that you can jump right in and make it your own without sign up. Something like that to me right now anyway. Thanks for commenting!
Oh I wasn't aware I could edit the page, I just glanced quickly over it. Maybe it needs a big banner YOU CAN EDIT THIS PAGE or something
no i mean its gonna be like that when i redesign the page to launch
10/10 You did a great job making a different landing page for a different product. The 3 column text was the only confusing part. The copy did an excellent job explaining the problem and how the product solves it.
haha thanks. hmm yeah the multi-column thingy is like those layout in magazine. It was inspired by this video. Thats also the video that made me go nuts on this one haha
Very cool video! Thanks for sharing. Also, maybe keep the columns but make font smaller so you don't have to scroll up and down
Just an advice, I know that the web is not finished yet but elements should be loading as you scroll down the page, throughput of elements lagged my browser. Keep going!
yup thanks for the advice! I will be mindful of those two things from now on.
The design is nuts, feels like someone clicked randomise
lmao
It Looks cool, though I think it will not work well as a high converting product page. On my tablet I'm getting Performance issues once I scroll to the peacock.
hey. thanks. yeah. been meaning to fix that - done.
Not trying to be harsh on you, but you won't get good conversions from the website. Users don't read huge walls of text. Product and landing pages are usually minimalistic because they aim to be easily scanned, so the customer can understand the value/USP right away. Keep the artsy patterns and vibes used in the background, but rework the content to focus on value - tip from a fellow designer
Thanks for being generous with the insights. Yeah it will be like that when I launch the public beta.
i like the design, and i think with a note taking app you have the freedom to go crazy with the design if you want to.
hell yeah
