I turned AI tool discovery into a daily guessing game

This started pretty simply. I kept finding new AI tools every day and was honestly amazed by how fast the space is moving.

I also felt a bit overwhelmed by how many tools there are. I thought others might feel the same too. So instead of endless lists, I wanted a simpler way to discover just one tool a day.

At some point I asked myself: what if discovery felt like a game instead of scrolling?

I’ve always been into board games and solving puzzles, so that naturally pushed me toward turning it into a guessing game.

That’s how FiveClues came to life: a daily AI tool guessing game where each tool is revealed through 5 clues.

I started building it in Dec 2025, then I abandoned it thinking nobody would play it. I built the game, the archive and few more features. But, the idea wouldn't go out of my mind. So, I finally decided to get back at it in April 2026, build it (remove unnecessary features) and decided to launch it, and not worry about anything else.

Surprisingly, I sent to few friends for feedback and they loved it. They wanted more of it, it is educating them about AI tools and letting them discover them while having fun.

That's the whole point of Fiveclues. It makes discovering AI tools more fun, so people can actually remember tools instead of just scrolling past them

Over time, it evolved from “can people guess the tool?” → to “how do I make discovering tools actually enjoyable and memorable?”

Hope you enjoy playing it and let me know if you have any feedback: https://www.fiveclues.live/
