I turned an Excel CRM into a SaaS style web app in about 15 minutes with Claude

I wanted to see if AI had changed that.

I uploaded an existing Excel CRM into Claude along with a simple instruction pack.

Claude generated:

A browser based interface
CRUD functionality
Responsive UI
Database schema
Integration instructions for Supabase

Then I repeated the experiment with a much larger ERP workbook.

The interesting part wasn't code generation.

It was how well Claude understood existing business logic and recreated workflows.

I think there may be a real opportunity here for consultants helping businesses migrate Excel based systems into lightweight SaaS applications.
