A few days ago I asked what makes a new product site trustworthy without reviews. The feedback was super useful, so I started applying it to Clugins: clearer pricing, real product pages, support, docs, and founder presence. Honest feedback welcome.
This is the right direction. For a new product without reviews, trust usually comes less from one big “credibility badge” and more from removing tiny doubts: what exactly does it do, who built it, what happens after I pay, where do I get support, and whether the product feels maintained.
The docs, founder presence, clear pricing, and real product pages all help because they make Clugins feel less like a quick experiment and more like something buyers can safely try.
One thing I’d still watch is the name. Clugins is clever if the product is tightly about plugins, but it may also feel slightly narrow or hard to parse at first glance. If the product grows into a broader SaaS/tooling platform, a cleaner standalone brand like Beryxa.com could carry more trust than a name tied so closely to “plugins.”
One thing I’m still unsure about is how much founder presence matters on a product site.
Some people mentioned real screenshots, changelogs, support pages, and transparent pricing — but founder visibility came up a lot too.
For a small product brand, would you rather see more product details first, or more about the person building it?
For a small product brand — both, but in this order:
Product first. I need to know what it does and why I care in 3 seconds. Clear headline + screenshot = trust.
Founder second, but visible. Don't hide behind "we." "Built by Mehdi" with a real photo and one sentence about why you built it beats a generic team page every time. People buy from people.
The real screenshots and changelogs you added are gold — keep those.
One thing I'd check though: you just rebuilt the site. Have you verified Google can actually crawl and index it properly? Rebuilds often break redirects, lose meta descriptions, or pages go unindexed for weeks. You could have perfect trust signals and still get zero organic traffic.
I run AI SEO audits (technical scan + on-page analysis + prioritized fix list, delivered in 24h). Happy to do a free 3-issue quick scan on Clugins right now — no pitch, just data. Takes 2 minutes.
