where did you start studying practical marketing for a freelancer and how do you find good clients continuously?

    1. 1

I learned a lot on NeilPatel.com, Backlinko.com and The Futur, but mainly through experience by applying the knowledge as I went.

How to get clients continuously is THE question!

Without clients, you don’t have a freelancing business, you have a hobby.

They pay the bills - not a pretty logo or animations on a screen.

Before I go into a few tactics, it’s important to step back and think of it as a business owner would think of it.

Here’s a thought exercise for you:

If you were a business owner, would you hire yourself?

      If not, why?

      If yes, why?

What separates you from your 9-year-old niece who also knows how to create websites?

These basic questions often provide a lot of clarity.

Now, in terms of what you can do:

Share your work on social media
Share what you do, why you do it, the processes, etc.

      Cold outreach
Cold emails and cold outreach on social are non-negotiable. It works, you just need to be strategic about how you approach it.

      SEO
Get free leads by focusing your business around your niche and what they search for. Write content for it and create targeted landing pages for strategic search terms.

There are many other ways like friends and family, AdWords, online ads, etc., but these 3 are the main approaches I’d suggest.

The main takeaway of getting clients is to focus on building your sales funnel.

Reach out to 10 business owners a day.

      That’s at least 200 leads a month.

If 5% convert into requesting more info or asking for a meeting, that’s 10 ‘hot’ leads.

If you can’t convert at least 1 out of 10 ‘hot’ leads, then something is wrong with your communication or pricing.

It’s a numbers game. Don’t expect clients to just find you.

Be proactive and let them know you can help them.

thank you Kyle, very practical an logical i will follow your suggestions🙂

if I can I would like to know who you recommend to follow for the cold outreach part, because I did it in the past and it worked but I would like to start doing it more seriously
        thank you 💪🏼
