I’ve been writing a long-term series about WebPass,
a project that aims to rethink how humans connect online.

Chapter 2 is something different.
It’s about the personal story behind the idea.

Before WebPass became a technical vision,
it started as a cultural collision:

• Growing up inside the structured social OS of Japan
• Moving to the Netherlands, where individuality is allowed to exist
• And one quiet night in a small Dutch apartment
  where everything suddenly made sense

Japan taught me what happens when identity gets flattened into roles.
The Netherlands showed me what becomes possible
when society doesn’t fear complexity.

That contrast became the blueprint for WebPass —
a new “connection layer” designed around the full depth of a human being.

I’m curious to hear from people here:
