Hi @lookasu, this looks neat! I'm not an engineering leader but I've gotten a lot of value out of things like this for product managers in the past.

In terms of website feedback, I think shortening the CTA to "Join the waitlist" would read a bit better.

For the FAQs, I think they'd be easier to scan if the text was left aligned and the questions were in a larger font than the answers.

For the "Can anyone attend?" FAQ answer, it's unclear to me who counts as a subscriber and how to become a subscriber. I think it'd be helpful to reframe the answer as something like "Anybody can apply, applicants are accepted based on [X criteria]. Apply above!".

It might also be helpful to add an FAQ about when you anticipate the first meeting will be and if there's an application deadline.

      Hi @malenaohl,

Thanks for your feedback. I've updated the FAQ layout and added some info on the questions that you suggested i.e. who, when, and where.

Who being Engineering Leaders i.e. CTOs, VPs, Engineering Managers etc
When [TBD] depending on the sign-up rate
Where [TBD] likely whereby.com but could be Discord, or Hopin etc

I've added a dropdown to have some tags associated with sign-ups.

I've also changed the CTA as you suggested (hopefully I understood it correctly).

      Very much appreciate your feedback!
      Lukasz

First of all, your idea is unique and I think it will surely grab eyeballs.

There are many things I would change about the site but the good part is it's all layouts.

You've got a good logo however I would like to redo the hero section of the page.

    It feels very clustered.
Here's what I think will look better:
1)Instead of having a background image of the video call screenshot. Place it on the right side.
2). On the left, place your text(i.e "The idea is....simple....") followed by the newsletter collection.
Kind of like how ConvertKit does it https://convertkit.com .

Also, your favicon is still ConvertKit's.

      Thank you @anuragkanoria,

I couldn't find a good template to follow your layout advice exactly, but I've darkened the background image, at least. I need to figure out the clustering. I could move the text out side of the main view (to be scrolled to) but I need some more data from visitors to see if they in fact scroll down.

On the ConvertKit icon, I don't think that can be removed unless you pay :(

First things first - I really like your idea and the tone of voice you are using (aka. not the typical corporate vibe we are getting from a lot of websites). In terms of feedback, here are my thoughts:

    • Add another section about the value/benefits it creates for users and how it solves their current problems (e.g. contrast it to how people are currently getting it done). What’s your unique position - are they getting better advice, is it more accessible, is it cheaper, more fun, etc. ? By connecting your value proposition to the problems they are having it becomes even more relatable!
    • Add a privacy policy - for legal reasons, but also because people are getting more protective of their personal information. It might increase the trust factor.

Hope that helps. It’s my personal opinion, so take it with a grain of salt. Good luck with everything! :)

I'm starting an online mastermind/learning circle/support group for Engineering Leaders* 👩‍💻👨‍💻

It's called (h)our gathering, and the idea is simple, we meet once in a while for an hour (hence the name), and discuss how to solve our "opportunities" with input and advice from the wider community!

    Any feedback is appreciated 🙏

*That's the first cohort/focus, more to follow hopefully.
