I took a quick look at your product. Think it is quite handy, but right now has a developer feel to it. No code segment is riding high and maybe you can jump on to that wave and make it smooth to get started. That would mean adding some ready to use recipes for usual targets such as AP/AR from Xero, QBs, or say CRM leads data from Hubspot. Sorry, I know little about your product and so the suggestions may just come out wrong.
So, let's do couple of things.
You're absolutely right that it's a bit tech/dev focused. I've now registered business-reports.live (where your business reports live) for free. I need to build that landing page and I'll send low-tech small business to that landing page and the more tech-savvy audience to the current site.
For small, non-tech-savvy business I'm offering "Data as a Service". They can send me or give me access to their data and I'll build reports for them. For larger orgs that have their own analyst or want direct data access they can pay the monthly fee and install Lakebed on whatever server they choose.
For use cases, there is a page on the site for some larger org use cases. Two simple ones I can easily think of is:
1.) Any seasonal business needs to predict when business will pick up for the season. By looking at historic data around revenue, website visitors, and weather data they can start to identify patterns. For example, swimsuit sales might pickup when the temp goes above 10 degrees. If you've seen that every year in the past then this year you can look at forecasts and schedule your staff accordingly.
2.) Any business owner who is currently reviewing Excel accounting reports to understand their business. I can easily build a dashboard comparing week over week, monthly over month, or year over year revenue/expenses/etc. By building that dashboard it becomes really quick & easy to pull up business performance on your phone or tablet to review while enjoying your morning coffee. There's no more digging through email and opening Excel or PDF to compare raw numbers.
Recovery? It's a tough slog. I'm learning to deal with chronic pain and getting regular injections once a month that cause extreme (10 out of 10) pain. I'm also now in a disagreement with the disability insurer because they've suddenly realized Lakebed exists and seem to believe "idea+website must mean you are able to work and have income". They are so out of touch with the world and are suddenly making my life difficult right in the middle of COVID.
It's been quite a while. How are you doing now? Let's see if we can do something coming out of this COVID situation.
