I want to make a group chat for beta users. Slack or Discord?

Hi guys! As my team is approaching the launch, I am busy planning out how do we work with beta users first. I thought it would be nice to make a chat for people participating in beta so we can quickly respond and also people can connect with each other (maybe it can be the starting point of our community, who knows).

Right now I have two options at hand: Slack and Discord. Seems like everyone has Slack installed, but it is heavily associated with work. Looks like Discord is more friendly, but I'm not sure if our audience uses it that much.

What do you guys think? Does anyone have experience of setting up a chat for beta users?
