Hi Indie Hackers !!!
For the past few months, I've been building RecruitIQ, an AI-powered hiring platform. The more I spoke with recruiters and hiring professionals, the more I realized that hiring isn't just about posting jobs—it's about managing a long chain of repetitive, time-consuming decisions.
A single role can attract hundreds of applications.
That means recruiters spend hours:
Many of these tasks can be automated through workflows and integrations.
But I don't believe automation alone is the answer.
Automation moves information from one system to another.
What I'm trying to build is a platform that actually helps hiring teams make better hiring decisions, not just faster workflows.
My vision for RecruitIQ is to become an AI Hiring Operating System that manages the most important stages of recruitment.
Instead of recruiters spending days manually screening and evaluating candidates, the platform should:
✅ Analyze job descriptions
✅ Understand hiring requirements
✅ Screen and evaluate resumes
✅ Conduct structured AI interviews
✅ Generate standardized evaluation reports
✅ Rank candidates based on job fit
✅ Help hiring teams identify the strongest applicants within minutes
Long term, I want RecruitIQ to become the intelligence layer for recruitment—not replacing recruiters, but acting as an AI Hiring Copilot that removes repetitive work while keeping humans in control of the final hiring decision.
Before I continue investing months into building this, I want to validate whether this is a problem worth solving.
I'd genuinely appreciate honest feedback from founders, recruiters, hiring managers, and anyone who has been involved in hiring.
Some questions I'd love your perspective on:
What's the most painful part of your hiring process today?
If you receive hundreds of applications, how do you currently shortlist candidates?
Would you trust AI to conduct the first round of interviews if it saved your team significant time?
What hiring tools or ATS platforms do you currently use, and what frustrates you about them?
If a platform like RecruitIQ could genuinely reduce your hiring effort by 50–70%, what would you expect it to do before you'd consider paying for it?
I'm not looking to promote the product here—I genuinely want to understand whether I'm solving a meaningful problem and what would make a platform like this indispensable for hiring teams.
I welcome both positive and critical feedback. I'd rather hear hard truths now than build the wrong product for another six months.
Looking forward to learning from this community.
