Hey Guys,
I have a startup called https://www.monitup.com that measures the productivity of employees through their daily activities and provides AI suggestions so they can be more productive.
As a technical solo founder, I have a hard time selling. Is it possible to increase my sales using Affiliate?
Which product do you recommend I use for Affiliate?
What rate would you suggest giving to the seller?
Where do I find people to sell products for me?
I would love to hear all your experiences and suggestions on this subject.
Hi Faruk,
I'm an (independent) growth marketer who has a lot of experience with running affiliate programs. Finding a solution like GetRewardful is one, but establishing good affiliate partnerships is another one. I can advice/consult but also manage this for you.
You can contact me at: maartenindie@gm***.c**
Hey Faruk! I work over at Rewardful (https://www.rewardful.com/) and I hope you'll check us out.
Kong is right, most SaaS products will pay between 20-30% recurring commissions. Basically the more generous you are with affiliates, the more likely they will be to promote you.
It's also important to caveat that affiliates can help you drive traffic, but if your site doesn't convert, there isn't much they can do there. So they'll only be as helpful as possible based on how well your product is able to sell.
As a starting point I'd recommend working with people who run websites who rank for keywords on Google that you'd like to rank for. For example, if you wanted to rank for "best saas accounting tool" or something like that, you should reach out to people who turn up for that result and see if they'll promote you via an affiliate partnership. Be willing to go very deep into the search results, the top ranking results might not be interested, but people further down the results might be!
Ultimately you need to go out and sell people on joining your affiliate program. Maybe some people will stumble across you online, but for the most part active recruitment of affiliates is the way to go!
I have been working on a product in this space, I do not know a lot about affiliates but here's what I have learnt from doing research.
Which product do you recommend I use for Affiliate? - I'm guessing you are looking for a product that does affiliate management. From my experience most products use Rewardful
What rate would you suggest giving to the seller? - The more lucrative the deal, the easier it is to convince someone to join your affiliate program. 30% lifetime deals are most common in the companies I studied.
Where do I find people to sell products for me? - I would identify key words related to my business (e.g improve your productivity, productivity tools etc. ), then I would look for bloggers, and influencers in this space and approach them.
I have seen an increase in businesses cross-selling complementary products. For example a remote worker website could have a link to your product targeting employers who have just listed jobs etc. We are trying to scale B2B partnerships like these at offerthis(.)co
Hi Faruk,
Great that you're doing the solo thing!
Took a quick at the app/site. If you don't mind, I have a couple of questions.
-Is this a scheduler? Is it more?
-You mention business as your target mkt? Is there a reason why? Can you share it with us?
-The different tiers refer to "For Windows" --- does this imply the app is a desktop app as opposed to a Saas tool?
Can you give more detail in how the app would work for a "typical" user? Would this be for a single person or a team?
Could other users "view" this data/make suggestions?
thanks
