Hey fellow Hackers! I've been playing Pioneer (https://pioneer.app/join/bethechange), a weekly online tournament for projects (of any kind), for a few months now, and it's been an amazing motivation boost and a focusing tool for me and the project. I honestly think that anyone working on a side-project or a small startup with ambitious goals should try that.
I want to write an article about my experience, and I wonder what aspects should I highlight and what questions to answer? Would love to hear your thoughts!
I would like to understand the level of competition. How many people participate? Give us some examples of the projects that won in the last few months.
Side note, I saw your app. According to Similarweb you had a huge spike (from 3k to 41k) between April and May. What happened exactly? It was just PH?
I can definitely include past winners overview! Thanks for the suggestion.
I think these numbers are exaggerated :) There was a spike though - it was the week when I set a goal on Pioneer for getting a certain number of visitors. I was posting all over the place: PH, Reddit, IH, chats, etc. I received enough feedback that week for a few months of work :D
Thank you for your answer. It was an impressive spike. What kind of chats? (If I can ask)
I would cover the basics. What is it? What are the benefits? Why is it motivating for you?
Thanks, will definitely include those!
