I want to use my newsletter as a blog post as well

The only thing I've found is its either for your blog or an email since the html doesnt really line up. Ive been looking at MJML but I was wondering if there was something else people were using.
Why not copy paste on your blog and in an email?
Mailchimp does offer an archive of emails. So there is a place they all go.
Any particular reason you want to bundle the content publishing with a single service? Do you have an established blog that you want to publish to or would you be starting from scratch?
Starting from scratch. I thought it if was bundled it would be easier to maintain.
Hmm, it could be nice to have a cross-platform blog and email campaign toolkit. I haven't seen anything like that and after searching some keyphrases on google I didn't turn up any immediate results.
As a rule of thumb, the email and blog content should not be identical. Instead they should be complimentary. You could use two free services like Blogspot and Mailchimp to get started.
Why is that? I mean not all content, but it might be nice with something like release notes and status updates on project. Im not email marketer though. This is my first venture into this realm.
You could certainly hook it up if you feel like investing the time. For example, if you registered a wordpress site you could integrated with Mailchimp, so that your blogs and email campaigns are both integrated into your content management system.

But even with a solution like that, I'm not aware of a configuration pattern where you can put your formatted text into one place and deploy to blog / email simultaneously.
As for why not to post the same thing on email and blog simultaneously, it's because you want to provide a rich array of content. Email should summarize the deeper content that you provide on your site.

MailChimp templates do include a “view this online” link but I’m not sure if you can have that live on your blog or not.
