I was losing $2,100 every month. Same reason. Every single time. I had no idea.

For months I thought I was being "productive". The most deceptive vision all vibe coders would encounter after 48h of non-sleep vibe coding: New idea here, vibe coded prototype there, little polish, and then… nothing.

Abandoned. Like 80% of all side projects that never see a real user.

Then I did the math. I was spending about 70 hours a month on side projects. At a junior freelance rate of $30 an hour, that's $2,100 of my time going straight into the trash. AND IT'S HAPPENING EVERY MONTH?!!

Most of the devs never hit $500 MRR. Only 5% ever cross $10k a month. Half of all developers earn less than $8,000 from independent work. They're stuck in that same loop. Build, get bored, abandon, repeat.

Vibe coding made it worse. 41% of code written last year was AI generated. But 85% of GitHub projects are still abandoned. We're building faster than ever and quitting even faster.

And that's why I started Buildbao.

Not because I'm some productivity guru. Because I got tired of watching my own work rot in a folder. Those "failed" projects aren't failures.

They're unpaid labor.

Prototypes that work. Scripts that save ten minutes. Quirky little features someone would actually pay for.

I hope I could build this product with Indie Hackers' community. And this would be my first trial to post my full distribution of BuildBao online.
