I was the "unpaid project manager" for my friends until I built this.

We’ve all been there.

You’re trying to plan a group trip or a festival. You start a WhatsApp thread. Within 48 hours, it’s a graveyard of 500+ messages, memes, and random side-chats.

Then comes the "Scroll-Tax."

Every time someone needs the Airbnb address or the flight time, they have to scroll for 10 minutes or ask you the "responsible one" for the fifth time. Last year, after missing a check-in window because a PDF was buried in a thread, I decided I’d had enough.

Group chats are great for talking. They are absolute trash for organizing.

The Build I wanted something that felt like a Mission Dashboard, not a spreadsheet. I spent the last few months building Squad In Sync to bridge that gap.

The goal was simple: One high-contrast screen where the squad can see the "War Room" (the plan), "The Vault" (the tickets/links), and "The Vibe" (who’s actually checked in).

The Stack (The Fun Part) Since I wanted this to be lightning-fast for people on the move, I went with a bleeding-edge stack:

• Next.js 16 & React 19 (Server actions are a lifesaver here)

• Neon for serverless Postgres (Zero management, high speed)

• Drizzle ORM for type-safe data

• Framer Motion for those glitchy, high-energy transitions

• Vercel for the frontend cloud

Where we are now We just hit 100+ squads using the platform for everything from bachelor parties to startup launch sprints. It turns out, I wasn't the only one suffering from "Group Chat Psychosis."

We’re officially launching on Product Hunt this Saturday (Jan 10).
