I was tired of sketchy online converters, so I built a privacy-first alternative.

I’ve been working on a tool that I personally really needed: a HEIC to JPG Converter.

Like many of you, I have an iPhone, but the HEIC format is a nightmare when you need to upload files or share them. I looked for online converters, but every single one of them was either:

1. Full of annoying ads.

2. OR—more importantly—they upload your private photos to their server to process them. I wasn't comfortable with that. So, I decided to build my own.

What’s different about this one? It’s 100% browser-based. The conversion happens locally in your own browser using client-side processing. Your photos never leave your device. Period.

I’ve been "Building in Public" on this to learn more about SEO (specifically Schema Markup) and UX optimization.
