I was wasting 10+ minutes reporting every bug — so I built a tool to fix it

A few months ago, I found myself doing something ridiculous.

I was testing our app, spotted a visual bug, and opened Slack, Jira, and Loom — just to report it.

I took a screenshot, annotated it in another tool, tried to describe the bug in Jira, and pasted a video in Slack for good measure. It took me 12 minutes. For a single UI bug.

So I built Snapsy.

It’s a simple tool that lets you:

  • 📸 Capture a screenshot or short screen recording

  • ✍️ Annotate directly on it (arrows, highlights, notes)

  • 🚀 Send it to Jira, GitHub, or Slack — in one click

It grabs all the context (URL, OS info, etc.) and fills in the ticket for you.

No more juggling tools.
No more “can you repro this?” back-and-forth.
No more time drain during testing or QA.

We use it daily now to:

  • Report bugs during testing

  • Give design feedback without a call

  • Submit clear GitHub issues without switching tabs

Try it if you’re tired of wasting time documenting obvious problems:

Maybe the second integration question is backwards. If it just lands on your clipboard after you draw the arrows and boxes, you're not locked into whichever tracker you picked to integrate with first. SlimSnap works that way on Mac and Windows, free, and paste beats a broken webhook every time.

The 12-minutes-for-one-UI-bug number is exactly right, and exactly why I built something similar (Trello instead of Jira/GitHub, same "one click instead of four tools" idea). Curious how you settled on Jira/GitHub/Slack as the three destinations — was that from your own usage, or did early users pull you toward specific integrations? I went Trello-only for v1 on purpose and I'm trying to figure out which second integration actually matters vs. which one people just assume they want.

Snapsy looks like a total time-saver...

      I agree, it's a super convenient tool.
