I Went Down the Rabbit Hole of How JSON Actually Works in Production

Like most developers, I’ve used JSON for years without thinking much about it.

JSON.stringify()
JSON.parse()
Done. Ship it.

But while working on a tool that processes large and messy JSON payloads, I hit a wall:

• Browsers freezing on big files

• Weird performance drops

• Precision bugs with large numbers

• Security concerns around untrusted input

So I decided to actually understand what happens behind the scenes. And created jsonmaster.com
