UPDATE (Fri, Dec 22, 2023): Thank you for the overwhelming response. I'll be doing the reviews of what's currently commented below as of now. Not taking any more requests. Will do another round of these at a later date. Stay tuned.
Meanwhile, let's connect on LinkedIn and chat over there: https://www.linkedin.com/in/shajeeaijazi/
Provide me access to your SAAS, or share a demo, and I’ll go through and call out UX problems in either a quick Loom video or in the comments below. I'll go through your onboarding, try and play around with the other areas of your product and share feedback on what could be improved to enhance usability, and visual design.
A little about me: My name is Shajee. I'm a Senior Lead UX Designer currently working at Autodesk (the company behind AutoCAD, 3Ds Max, Maya and other 3D software). In the past, I've worked on products for General Motors and Toyota and many other SAAS products over the 15 years I've been working as a designer.
The Why: As a side hustle, I’m looking to offer UX design services for SAAS companies. Before I pitch anything, I want to offer these UX Reviews to give as much value as I can. My goal is to to build relationships and connections with the many SAAS founders here, and potentially work together if it makes sense.
Looking forward to seeing your product and giving you some ideas for UX improvements, thanks!
I love this idea and might suggest a slight tweak. You might want to think of the approach as a "secret shopper". Do you know what that term means?
The idea would be to go to companies, sign up for the free trial or to talk to a salesperson etc. Then create a report of all the problems with response or holes in their funnel.
I totally understand that product is your domain and it makes sense to focus there. The issue is the market. Do product roles have the appetite for someone to demo their product for a bit and then give feedback? (I guess that's what you're testing here)
My concern is that this works internally, but not sure what people will think of it from an external source. Good luck!
Great post man! Will definitely get in contact with you on LinkedIn.
Hey Shajee! After a month of intense no-code development, my MVP for a small business-focused CRM is making strides. We're now inviting early users to join our waitlist at vitoby.c-o-m (Indie's comment links restrictions 😅). Aiming for a vibrant community of 100 pioneers! love to hear your thoughts or snag some insightful feedback. Thanks!
Hey Shajee! Does it have to be SaaS or would you roast a marketplace? It’s in the transportation & mobility space so looks like you have some background in it.
It doesn't. Feel free to share your marketplace.
Hi Shajee,
Would love to get your feedback on Tablestat - an analytics platform that allows investors and financial advisors to find, analyse, value software companies
Any review would be highly appreciated!
Reda, I've done the review here: https://shorturl.at/BEGMX
Overall, I feel like you need a design system that defines the guidelines for using different components. There were a few inconsistencies, spacing and sizing issues that I've pointed out.
I didn't talk much about usability issues, because I think that requires a deeper dive into understanding how the product works and who the users are, what their needs are etc.
If you'd be interested in that, let's continue to conversation on LinkedIn.

hey Bilal, I am not able to do anything with a free account. Would have to be able to use it to provide you with a roast.
Just from the outside, I think you've gotten the visual design right.
No worries. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi Shajee, thank you so much for reviewing my product. It really helps me a lot. And I got to know the mistakes I was making since I'm not a design person.
Sorry for my late response, was just busy with exams 😞.
But yeah let's connect on LinkedIn.

Hi Shajee!
I'm a first time founder and building Aimply Briefs, a human-in-the-loop AI generated newsletter (search google as I can't post links - be sure to hit "search instead of aimply breifs" because our seo sucks haha)
I'm more of a backend/machine learning person so I could really use the help on our landing page especially!
Evan, I've recorded a roast for Aimply Briefs landing page here: https://shorturl.at/ax468

Thanks for the insights! Did you complete the account setup after you confirmed your email address? It seems like most of the problems you mention come from skipping that step. You wouldn't be the first to accidentally skip the setup, so I'll definitely update the process of the first login.
Also, sent you a request to connect on LinkedIn.
Adam, I actually did confirm my email.
and if people are skipping that step, and it's required for users to start taking action in the product, it would be a good idea to provide that feedback in the product. e.g. a banner on top saying "you haven't confirmed your email"
secondly, would allowing users to sign up via Google confirms their email automatically? If so, that makes for a much better experience for more reasons than one, then.

I've signed up for the "priority access" - can provide feedback once I'm in.
Landing page looks slick.
Roast MarkovML
Jay, I played around with it and its actually quiet well done.
Knowing how much I know (which is nothing) about the problem you're trying to solve, who your users are, what your business needs are - I don't have much to say about improvements.
Once I learn more about those, I would be in a better position to provide more in depth feedback. But from a quick review, very well done. 👍🏼
You can roast our app https://kaita.ai
Is a personal travel guide that tracks you during your trips and search information thought internet about the places that you have nearby. Then the app uses our AI engine to digest and sumarize the information.
You can also chat with the AI to ask for more details about the places.
Feel free to share your feelings
hey. I tested out the app and the free version doesn't do much except for getting historical information from the web, which is still useful, I imagine. But I couldn't use the AI parts at all, so can't say much about that.
In terms of user experience, the little bit I did explore, I have a few comments:
When I searched for a place, it highlighted the map with that area. There was no way to un-highlight the area without searching for another place. It seems like there's always going to be a highlighted area. That seemed a little, in the way.
The non-AI information I was getting, it seemed like it was way too much. If I'm visiting Niagara Falls, I wouldn't want to read paragraphs and paragraphs about it. It would be nicer if this information was designed better. To highlight some parts in a fun way that's easier to go through.
Maybe some sort of gamification of it? For example, when I open that information page, it shows me a highlight, maybe something like "Did you know there is a 1000 year old tree in XYZ street near Niagara Falls? Go check it out" and then have an option to check-in at that place?... and then once they check-in, it gives them some sort of reward points?
I'm sure that'll be technically challenging to do to have such information/hidden places for every place, but it's something that'll make your product more engaging.
Thanks you for your feedback I really appreciate it.
you're welcome, and I'd love to connect with you over LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/shajeeaijazi/
I am ready for a good roasting for VeilMail.
